On arrival proceed to Anuradhapura, city tour/archaeological sites; check in at hotel for overnight stay at Anuradhapura.
Day 02 Anuradhapura to Polonnaruwa (Appx 106 km)
Morning proceed to Polonnaruwa the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, visit the world famous 47 feet rock cut temple statue of lord Buddha at Aukana check in a hotel in Polonnaruwa for rest and refreshment for a short while, city tour/archaeological sites, return back to the same Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03 Polonnaruwa to Kandy (Appx 135 km)
Morning Proceed to Grate city Kany, last kingdom of Sri Lanka , most picturesque city of Sri Lanka en route visit the rock fortress (Sigiriya) and the world famous Frescoes, Dambulla the Golden rock temple ,if desired visit a Batik factory and a spice garden at Matale ,check in at a Hotel at Kandy for overnight stay.
Day 04 Kandy
Morning visit Royal Botanical Gardens city tour of Kandy sightseeing if desired visit a Gem museum, in the evening witness the ceremony of the Tooth relic of Lord Buddha, return back to Hotel at Kandy for overnight stay.
Day 05 Kandy to Nuwareliya (Appx 95 km)
proceed to Nuwara Eliya 1886m above sea level visiting a tea plantation and tea processing factory, check in hotel at same city for rest and refreshment city tour of Hill country return back to same hotel.
Day 06 Nuwaraeleiya –Thissamaharama (Appx 149 km)
Morning Proceed to Tissamaharama via Bandarawela and Ella. View the world famous Ella Gap (scenery of the range of mountains) check in at Hotel at Tissamaharama for rest and refreshments and proceed to Yala National park for evening wild life safari by the jeep ,jeep return back to the same Hotel for night stay.
Day 07 Thissamahara –Hikkaduwa (Appx 171 km)
Morning proceed to Hikkaduwa en route visit the most famous Dutch Fortress at Galle city
The beaches in Hikkaduwa are nice and wide and swimming is safe here, though the currents are stronger south of Hikkaduwa proper. The impressive coral reef runs just offshore and is still populated by exotic fish and sea turtles. Glass bottomed boats are available for visitors wanting to admire the wonders of the deep while keeping their feet dry! After a shot distance southwards from the center of the reef, it diminishes given rise to a wider sandy bottomed beach with good waves ideal for board surfing and body surfing.
Day 08 Hikkaduwa –Negombo (Appx 150 km)
Morning proceed to Negambo via Colombo ,
You will drive through the commercial areas, shopping malls and drive past Pettah, a colorful Oriental bazaar with a mix of people, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques and temples. You have a chance to see a Hindu Temple, Buddhist Temple and the Jami Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque of Colombo.
